Heating Systems for New Drying Projects and Existing Plant Upgrades

Coal-fired hot air furnaces can be integrated with spray dryers, rotary dryers and other drying equipment for detergent powder, fertilizers, minerals and ceramic raw materials. For existing plants, heating-system replacement or modification can be evaluated against equipment interfaces and operating conditions.

Where coal use is permitted and supply is reliable, Meibao evaluates estimated coal consumption and associated operating costs based on local coal prices, fuel properties and production loads. The assessment considers fuel handling, maintenance and emission treatment to help customers compare heating options.

Heating Option How It Works Selection Considerations
Direct-fired heating Combustion gases enter the downstream dryer as the drying medium after treatment and temperature adjustment appropriate to the process. Suitability depends on coal properties, flue-gas composition and whether direct contact meets product quality requirements.
Indirect heating Combustion gases transfer heat to process air through a heat exchanger, keeping the two streams separate. Suitable for materials that should not contact combustion gases. The heat exchanger is selected according to the required hot air conditions.

Combustion ash is collected separately. Treatment equipment and its location depend on the project design. Downstream dryers and exhaust-treatment facilities are shown to illustrate system interfaces; their inclusion in the supply scope is subject to the project proposal.

System Configuration & Supply Scope

Configured Around Coal Properties and Site Conditions

Coal feeding and combustion systems are configured for the specified coal. Available coal analysis reports are reviewed to assess fuel suitability and operating requirements.

The quotation identifies the included furnace, coal feeding, ash handling, fans, ductwork, controls and emission-treatment equipment. For indirect heating, the heat exchanger configuration is also specified. Responsibilities for site installation, commissioning, civil works and utilities are defined in the project scope.

Meibao can provide design, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and operator training within the agreed scope.
