For factories planning to manufacture multiple products, the relationship between different product categories should be considered during the project design stage to reduce changeovers and improve overall factory efficiency.

Select the Production Solution by Capacity, Product Variety and Packaging Requirements

Liquid detergent projects can differ significantly in product variety, production scale, packaging formats and investment stage. Meibao mainly provides two types of liquid detergent production solutions:

Large-Scale Liquid Detergent Production Line

For factories with a broad product portfolio, higher overall production capacity and multiple packaging formats, a large-scale integrated liquid detergent production line is generally more suitable.

The system can integrate raw material storage, dosing, liquid preparation, mixing, filtration and transfer, finished-liquid buffer storage, filling, packaging and finished-product warehousing according to the customer's product plan and market requirements.

Large-Scale Liquid Detergent Production Line
Typical Process Flow
Raw Material Storage→ Metering & Dosing→ Liquid Preparation & Mixing→ Filtration & Transfer→ Finished-Liquid Buffer Storage→ Filling & Packaging→ Finished-Product Warehousing
Typical Process Flow
Planning for Multi-Product Production

For factories manufacturing multiple liquid daily chemical products, production-line design should consider more than total production capacity.

Frequent product changeovers may increase:

  • Equipment and pipeline cleaning
  • Cleaning water consumption
  • Product and material losses
  • Production waiting time
  • Manual handling
  • Equipment downtime

Meibao therefore groups products according to their production characteristics and cleaning requirements and plans the corresponding production, storage and transfer systems.

Products with similar production conditions can, where appropriate, be arranged within compatible production units. Products with significantly different characteristics can be considered for separate or relatively independent production configurations.

Proper product grouping can help:

  • Reduce unnecessary product changeovers
  • Reduce equipment and pipeline cleaning
  • Lower water and material losses
  • Shorten changeover time
  • Improve equipment utilization
  • Improve multi-product production efficiency
Multi-Product Production
Matching Packaging Formats with Production Capacity

Large liquid detergent factories often manufacture products in multiple package sizes and formats. Packaging requirements should therefore be considered together with the production system from the planning stage.

Typical packaging formats can include:

  • Small packages from 50–500 mL
  • Common household sizes such as 1 L and 2 L
  • Larger packages such as 3 L and 5 L
  • Jerry cans and commercial containers
  • Refill packs and flexible packaging
  • Other customer-specified packaging formats

Different package sizes require different filling speeds and packaging capacities.

Meibao coordinates the capacity of the finished-liquid buffer storage, transfer, filling and packaging systems according to the production volume of each product, package size and expected packaging speed.

This helps prevent bottlenecks between upstream production and downstream packaging.

For projects involving multiple products and packaging formats, finished-liquid buffer capacity, packaging-line configuration and production scheduling should also be planned together.

Finished-Product Warehousing and Logistics

After filling and packaging, finished-product warehousing becomes an important part of the overall planning of a large liquid detergent factory.

Meibao can plan the warehouse and material-flow solution according to finished-product volume, product range, packaging formats, number of SKUs, inventory turnover, shipping frequency, available warehouse space and automation requirements.

Automated High-Bay Warehouse

An automated high-bay warehouse can integrate high-bay racking, conveyors, automated storage and retrieval equipment, and warehouse management systems to support automated receiving, storage and dispatch of finished products.

More suitable for:

  • Factories with high finished-product output
  • Projects with a large number of products and packaging SKUs
  • Manufacturers requiring a higher level of warehouse automation
  • Projects aiming to reduce manual and forklift handling
  • Factories requiring higher inventory-control and dispatch efficiency

Main benefits:

  • Higher warehouse-space utilization
  • More efficient inbound and outbound handling
  • Reduced manual material handling
  • Improved inventory and storage-location management
  • Easier integration with automatic packaging and palletizing systems
Forklift-Operated High-Bay Warehouse

A forklift-operated high-bay warehouse uses multi-level pallet racking combined with forklift handling for finished-product storage, retrieval, loading and unloading.

More suitable for:

  • Projects seeking higher warehouse-space utilization
  • Factories handling multiple products and packaging formats
  • Projects with relatively stable warehouse throughput
  • Customers seeking a balance between warehouse efficiency and investment level

Main benefits:

  • Better space utilization than conventional floor storage
  • Relatively simple warehouse configuration
  • Flexible product and storage-location adjustments
