Product Overview
This automated liquid sodium silicate (water glass) production line adopts the wet process and is equipped with PLC intelligent control system. Designed for high-efficiency operation and consistent output, this plant is suitable for producing sodium silicate for applications in ceramics, casting, detergent manufacturing, mineral separation, and more.
Using caustic soda and quartz sand as raw materials, the system supports continuous batching, reaction, filtration, and storage-all under intelligent monitoring. The final sodium silicate product is clear, transparent, and modulated to meet diverse industrial requirements.
Process Workflow
1.Slurry Preparation
Weighing and mixing of caustic soda and quartz sand
Stirred into a balanced suspension
Slurry pumped into the reaction kettle
2.Thermal Reaction
Steam added to reach target pressure
Reaction proceeds under automatic monitoring
Modulus can be fine-tuned by controlling time and temperature
3.Separation & Filtration
Steam released; residual pressure discharges slurry
Concentration adjusted in middle tank
Settled liquid filtered through press filter
4.Product Collection
Finished sodium silicate transferred to storage tank
Minimal slag generated (~2–3kg/ton)
Solid residue washed and reused or sent to waste treatment
5.Energy Recycling
Heat from steam used to preheat materials in slurry tank
