A new detergent powder factory and an expansion project may have the same output target, but they rarely start from the same conditions. One needs a production process and a factory layout from the beginning. The other may need to work around existing equipment, limited space or a packaging section that is already running.
If you are considering either type of project, we welcome you to meet Zhejiang Meibao Industrial Technology Co., Ltd. at Cosmopack Asia 2026. Our team will be at Booth 9-F26, AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong, from November 10–12.
Will You Produce Your Own Base Powder?
This is one of the first questions worth discussing. Some projects require base powder production as part of the plant. Others have a reliable supply of base powder and need equipment for blending, adding ingredients and preparing the finished powder for packing.
The answer changes the equipment scope. Slurry preparation and spray drying may be relevant to a project producing its own base powder, while a project using purchased base powder may focus on post-blending and packaging. Post-addition requirements also depend on the product and the chosen process.
You do not need to arrive with a complete formulation. A description of the powder you want to make and how you expect to source the base powder is enough to start.
Where Does the Line Need More Capacity?
For an existing factory, "we need more output" is a useful starting point. The next question is where the current line falls short.
The discussion may involve slurry preparation, spray drying, blending, transfer or packaging, depending on the process. Increasing the capacity of one machine will not necessarily increase finished output if another section cannot keep up.
Packaging deserves attention here. A line handling several pack sizes has different operating requirements from one running a single format for long periods. Pack sizes, production schedules and changeovers should therefore be considered alongside the processing equipment.
For a new plant, these same questions help establish how the sections should work together from the outset.
What Does the Site Allow?
A factory photograph or a rough layout can make a conversation much more specific. Available floor space, building height and the position of existing equipment all affect where new equipment can go and how materials will move through the plant.
Local fuel and energy supplies also matter, particularly where drying is involved. If you expect to expand again, mention that early so future equipment space and connections can be considered during planning.
Bring What You Already Have
Useful starting information includes your intended product, target capacity, packaging sizes and project country. If available, bring factory photographs, a simple layout or an equipment list. Let us know whether you are building a new plant or changing an existing one, and which energy sources are available locally.
There is no need to prepare a full technical package before meeting us.
Meibao can support process design, equipment selection and manufacturing, installation and commissioning. The equipment and service scope will depend on the project.
